2016 Gaerne Qatar Round Highlights

A title on the line and final championship places up for grabs at the #QatarWorldSBK round.
In Race 1 Chaz Davies took another commanding win under the Losail floodlights, with KRT’s Jonathan Rea clinching the 2016 WorldSBK title in second place. The 2014 title winner Sylvain Guintoli completed the podium with his first top three result of the year on the Yamaha. Ducati man Chaz Davies was the man on the pace again in Race 2, before and after a red flag, with Kawasaki’s Tom Sykes in second place to clinch the runner-up spot in the championship, courtesy of his teammate Rea who finished third.

In WorldSSP English rider Kyle Smith ended the season in style on the Honda CBR600RR with the narrowest of wins over Kawasaki’s World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu by 0.006s on the line, with Frenchman Jules Cluzel also on the podium for MV Agusta to clinch the runner-up spot in the 2016 standings.
