How can two planes intersect? They are either parallel and distinct, parallel and coincident or they intersect as a line. It's very easy to determine if the lines are parallel by checking the normals. I show you two methods of determining the equation of the line of intersection. Remember that your direction vector for the line of intersection can be scalar multiples of what's in your textbook and that the point that you find could be different as there are MANY points on the line!
