You're having your sales call, and you hear the dreaded words...
"That's too expensive." Panic sets in, and your heart sinks.

Most salespeople have been trained to overcome objections. If you're selling somebody something they don't need or want, sure, you might be able to overcome their initial objection and push through to a sale.

But is that really the sale you want to make? Is that a relationship you want to have? Pressure, stress, and a hostage? No. You know your best shot at repeat business is as far from that as possible.

So, how do we prevent #objections from happening in the first place?

Sales is about finding what somebody needs and helping them get it. To do that, we need to ask questions, lots of questions. And then we need to listen.

Really listen.

Not just wait for our turn to talk. But actually, listen to what the other person is saying. If we're paying attention, we'll be able to tell when an objection is coming, and we can eliminate it before it happens or at least have a prepared response to help move the conversation forward.

#Sales is all about #relationships, and #trust is the foundation of every relationship.

Stop selling somebody something they don't want or need. No tricks. No pressuring them into buying something with manipulative tactics. Be upfront, be honest, and be transparent.

Do that, and you'll eliminate many objections with lasting relationships.
