Building My DIY Onewheel Battery! 18s2p Samsung 50s & Torque Box (Detailed Guide)

In this video, I take you on a journey building my first OneWheel Battery. It's full of detail and nuance, and I 've never had to fit a battery in such a small enclosure, insulating, fitting, and organizing are key important tasks for a battery like this.

Please note, building lithium ion batteries is dangerous and should only be attempted with full knowledge of all aspects of the build, including possible fire, loss of posessions, or loss of life, due to incorrect treatment or assembly. What I say in this video is my opinions and what I view as generally good practices for battery building, however, I do not guarantee that my results will be the same as yours, exercise extreme caution when building.

One might look at this pile of parts and think that it's a simple thing to build. On one hand, it is not as hard as putting together the complex drivetrains on some of our electric skateboards, however, the OneWheel build experience comes with its own set of quirks and hang ups that you guys will experience throughout this series. This was my first time building up a onewheel, and I have to say, I love the final product, but building the battery was a very tight process, and there are a lot of quirks that make me not sure I'd want to do it again. Who knows. I sure had fun though, and I really hope you guys enjoy this series, because I put a lot of work into it!
