Replacing the Lower Control Arm and Balljoint on the Race Mazda MX-5 with real life problems!

Описание к видео Replacing the Lower Control Arm and Balljoint on the Race Mazda MX-5 with real life problems!

Things I have learnt in this process (to save looking at the whole video if you don't want to!)
1. The steering arm can stay connected but it is in the way a bit.
2. The adjustment bolts can rust themselves in position. Best to have new ones on standby
3. Heat and and pneumatic impact hammer was the only way I could get them out.
4. You'll certainly need to re-align the car afterwards.
5. Some OEM fittings don't come with nuts and pins (balljoint in particular)
6. When it goes well it can be done quite quickly as not that many bolts
7. It's helpful having a lift :) - but it's not essential.
8. Probably easier with coilovers with short springs.
9. Remember to torque up some of the bolts only when the car has its weight on it.
