Various close up shots of the lipsticks, foundations and other make up being made, packed and travelling along conveyor belt in a cosmetic factory - music from the film 'Shaft' is played. Women working on production line. Various shots of a reporter interviewing women at work in factory - natural sound. One of the girls is stamping dates on powders, another is putting puffs in, third is putting powders in boxes, the next is labelling, the other putting lids on, etc. He interviews the girls very informally to find out that some are not very enthusiastic about their work, one of the women is getting married soon, the other is married and lives locally but has no children, third have worked in holiday camp etc. The item ends with more shots of make up being competed along conveyor belt with 'Shaft' music accompaniment.
