We finally did it! In this Part 3 of How To Install VIKIO 42" 900 CFM Ducted Under Cabinet Range Hood with LED in Stainless Steel with 3-Way Venting and Gesture Control, we'll show you how we managed to complete the installation by using manual car jack and a raised wooden platform. We used a manual car jack and a raised wooden platform to raise the range hood up to the height of the cabinet. The wooden platform is so that the process will not scratch the top of my mom's Samsung electric cooktop oven. Alternatively, you can pull out the oven. We have a video on how to do that:

In the previous video we showed you how to remove the top vent cover in order to re-configure the installation for rear venting. Check that out if you're interested.

Even though it worked for us, please note that using a manual car jack is not the safest method. Using a car jack to install a range hood is extremely dangerous and could lead to serious injury or property damage. Car jacks are not designed for this purpose and can fail if not used on a flat, stable surface with a properly balanced load. You should not use a manual car jack to lift or support a Vikio range hood during installation.

To safely install a Vikio range hood alone, use a specialized support, recruit a helper, or build a temporary brace. The manufacturer's manual will provide a screw hole alignment plate and specific mounting instructions.

Another thing to note is that the template provided is not 100% accurate. We ended up having to re-drill some of the holes. Eventually everything worked out. We did it!

Every house and every kitchen would have different configuration therefore some of the challenges we faced might be different than yours, but be sure to check our next video in this installation process should our situation be similar to yours.
