The use of the Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC) is a vital element in today's Supply Chain Management. The SSCC is used to track and trace logistic units from the manufacturer to the store and allows efficient and cost effective supply chain management. This video utilizes a case study to show where and how the SSCC is used between trading partners (a supplier and a retailer). Beside the process overview, there are three chapters explaining the structure of an SSCC, the use of the Application Identifiers and the correct positioning of a GS1 Logistic Label.
