Practicing Quintuplets With Kenny Grohowski

Описание к видео Practicing Quintuplets With Kenny Grohowski

Hey There,

Here's a video I made demonstrating a basic exercise/warm-up on working sticking combinations for quintuplets, non-meter specific. Please pardon my terrible speaking and grammar, but I'm not used to having to speak into a camera and it makes me quite nervous and awkward to do so! I hope you enjoy the video and can get some good info from it and hopefully next time I will be less awkward. It helps not having Ari Hoenig there watching ;)

Also, for sticking it out with such a long video, there's a nice little drum solo at the end, vamping and improvising to a groove in 7-- for the music nerds, it's mostly in 3-4, but about half way through I lose the one. This is ok, since I was simply messing about.

The background music that you hear is the track 'Staring In The Mirror, Darkly' by Andy Milne and Dapp Theory, off of our latest release, "Forward In All Directions", which was released last year via Whirlwind recordings:

For more info on Dapp Theory, check out www.andymilne.com/projects/dapp-theory/

I do not hold the rights to the song used in the video.

Please, leave comments and let me know what you think about the video and let me know if there are any topics or techniques or anything really, that you would like to see me demonstrate in a video!

Really honored to be with these guys. They make beautiful cymbals and soon I'll use my lighter, softer cymbals in a demo and a couple of lesson vidoes soon, but can see them already in a few other videos online. Check them out here:
