Dead Space is a third-person survival horror developed by Visceral Games in 2008. Dead Space follows engineer Isaac Clarke who is on a rescue mission to repair the USG Ishimura after its communications have gone dark. After their ship crash lands in the Ishimura docking bay, the rescue team discovers the horrors that lurk aboard the ship.
