Just off the main route into Glencoe, a short way along the Glen Etive road is a parking spot next to a bridge a short walk from there are the River Coupall falls, with the monumenal Buachaille Etive Mor mountain in the background. A spot beloved of photogaphers who will spend hours attempting to capture that one perfect photograph, thankfully the morning we arrived we had the place to ourselves, allowing a drone flight to try and captue the atmosphere of the place...

We were fortunate to have stunning weather on our way north through the area on our way for a week in Drumnadrochit - not that there is anything such as 'bad' weather in Scotland, just atmospheric and occassional incorrect clothing - which made capturing the footage relatively simple - and thankfully the wind was far less than it had been a few minutes earlier on the very exposed Rannoch Moor for the previous drone flight of the day...

Buachaille Etive Mòr (Scottish Gaelic: Buachaille Èite Mòr, 'great herdsman of Etive'), also known simply as 'The Buachaille', is a mountain at the head of Glen Etive in the Highlands of Scotland. Its pyramidal shape, as seen from the northeast, makes it one of the most recognisable mountains in Scotland, and one of the most depicted on postcards and calendars.

Buachaille Etive Mòr is a large ridge nearly five miles (8 km) long, almost entirely encircled by the River Etive and its tributary the River Coupall. The ridge contains four main peaks: from north-east to south-west these are Stob Dearg (1021.4 m), Stob na Doire (1011 m), Stob Coire Altruim (941 m) and Stob na Bròige (956 m). Stob Dearg and Stob na Bròige are both Munros; the latter was promoted to Munro status by the Scottish Mountaineering Club in 1997. To the west is the smaller ridge, Buachaille Etive Beag.
