About a week ago, on Monday the 18th February, seven Labour MPs resigned from their party to form this new Independent group. This had been a long time coming, and most of these MPs had been vocal critics of Jeremy Corbyn way before their official resignation. So why did they leave? Why did conservatives join them? What happens now?
