Autumn Harvest (October 2023) - Weltacker Landshut e.V. DE #3 I Global Bean Show Gardens

It is autumn at the Global Field in Landshut. The weather is getting colder and the air more humid, which means it is time to harvest the last beans even though some are not completely dry yet. In the video we can see that the 'Hagenauer Rote' beans are in different stages of ripeness, some are still completely green and also some already have brown pods. The soya beans that are closer to the water stream have received a lot more water and have been more productive. Marion also shows us an Edamame soy variety, which tastes really good when the pods are harvested green, cooked in water and eaten with a little salt.

Weltacker Landshut is a 2000m2 global field, managed by a registered non-profit association. All necessary work is done by volunteers. Cultivating pulses passionately within the 2000m2-idea, they decided to focus on pulses within their learning/education program for people in the region.
