Doddaballapura or Doddaballapur, situated at a distance of around 41 km from Majestic, the central region of Bengaluru is primarily an industrial area. Most of the locality’s population still rely on agriculture. However, Doddaballapura is gradually being transformed into a satellite town from where hundreds of people travel to Bengaluru daily for work and many people from Bengaluru working in industries in Doddaballapura travel to the region. For better schools and hospitals, one can also head to Bellary Road.

Doddaballapur Market area and small local stores located along the main road will be your go-to place for daily shopping requirements. Esteem Mall along Bellary Road is the nearest shopping mall, situated at about 30 km.
NH-648, NH-48, SH-9 and SH-74 or their more localized versions of Doddaballapura Main Road, Tubagere-Doddaballapur Main Road, Nelamangala-Doddaballapura Road and Bellary Road are the major stretches of connectivity to Doddaballapura.

The locality has a good frequency of BMTC and KSRTC buses. While cabs are not easily available along the interiors, one has to depend on local auto-rickshaws for short commuting.

Doddaballapura has a railway station, situated on the Bengaluru-Guntkal electric line. Though no trains originate here, the ones running towards Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Jaipur halt here. The Kempegowda International Airport is situated at about 35 km and can be reached via NH-648 or the Doddaballapura Main Road.
Doddaballapura is a part of the 12 towns that will be connected via the Satellite Town Ring Road Project. The locality will also benefit once the suburban rail project becomes operational.
