Jigokudani's Precious Children [Snow Monkeys]

For viewers who may have limited time on hand, I condensed my video on My Trip to the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park to focus on the young snow monkeys. Well…because watching children often brings us joy.

Childhood, the age of innocence. It is no different for the young snow monkeys living in Jigokudani (Hell Valley). The children play, prank, learn, fight, throw tantrums and nap etc. All under their protective mothers that has made it their life's mission to keep them fed, safe and warm. Well, because like all children, they are precious.

If you do have more time, do check out the original longer video where you get to meet Kuro-san, the alpha male and also the star of the 2013 PBS Nature Snow Monkeys documentary. You will get to see more of Granny Tokkuri 92 as well as the environment and all the action revolving around the monkey’s onsen. The blissful and Zen-like looks on their faces in the hot pool.
