1. Remove the inner wheel liner to rear bumper cover screws and nuts in both sides of the rear bumper.

2. Remove the push pins, release the tabs and position the rear quarter panel moulding aside. This procedure also needs to be performed on both sides.

3. Remove the screws, as shown in the illustration.

4. Remove 2 bolts on both sides.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector, the wiring harness retainer and position the wiring harness aside.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector and position the wiring harness aside (If equipped).

7. Remove the screw and the trim pin on both sides of the vehicle.

8. Remove the rear lamp assemblies. To correctly complete this step – Remove the loadspace trim panel and than Remove the rear lamp. Olso watch the video on Removing the rear lamp assemblies. The link on it is in the video description below.

9. Remove the screw on both sides.

10. This step requires assistance to avoid damaging the bumper. So first you need to position the luggage compartment weatherstrip aside. Then release the sides of the rear bumper cover from the side brackets. And finally - Using a non-marring tool, release the center of the rear bumper cover from the rear bracket.

11. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the rear bumper cover.

12. On both sides inspect the side bracket for damage.

13. If required, remove the screws, the trim-pin and the damaged side bracket and remove the screws, the trim-pin and the rear bracket.
