Costa Concordia ship disaster ran aground and overturned after striking an underwater rock off Isola del Giglio, Italy, on 13 January 2012. The ship tried to do a sail-by salute, a salute performed by bringing a ship close to shore to salute those on land. About 4500 people onboard, 64 injuries and 32 dead.
