Ultra Bird Endurance

Описание к видео Ultra Bird Endurance

We celebrate human athletes during the Olympics. So maybe it's also a good time to learn about birds that display ultra endurance! Please subscribe to continue learning what makes life AWESOME: https://BioBush.tv/subscribe

The Adélie penguin swims up to 110 miles to get a meal. That is serious dedication to breakfast.

The Arctic Tern migrates from pole to pole, covering 24,000 to 56,000 miles ANNUALLY, up to 150 miles per day!

And the Common Swift, while it doesn't fly as far, flies much more enduringly. Common Swifts have been recorded flying for ten months straight without landing. They sleep, eat, drink, and do courtship while flying. They basically only land to lay eggs, then start flying again.
