Slow living in a village - farmhouse mini tour, clearing the garden and making cheese (story 4)

Welcome back to a new video! If you're new, my name is Isa and in summer 2023 I purchased a wooden farmhouse in a remote village in Latvia. I vlog my simple and country life stories to share with you all the beauty of slow living.

In this video, I'm going to show you a mini tour of the farmhouse when we first arrived - yep, the very first day!

And the garden's condition when we first arrived before starting to clear it. It's still a long way to have a decent garden, but we all have to start from somewhere!

Living a slow, simple life also means appreciating what we have and what we've given. So if I want to start homesteading and be more self-sufficient, I decided to try and learn how to make homemade cheese from raw milk. Of course, we still don't have farm animals at the moment, we bought the milk from someone in our village. What a challenge!
