Classic TV Theme: Here Come the Brides

Описание к видео Classic TV Theme: Here Come the Brides

This Western set in early Seattle was inspired by a true incident about women brought to the young town to become brides of the lumberjacks. The show lasted until a move to the Friday death slot sunk its fortunes, but it was an entertaining, largely non-violent Western with a vein of gentle humor. Hugo Montenegro scored the series and it's some of his best tv work. The song 'Seattle' became a hit for show co-star Bobby Sherman as well as the more elderly Perry Como.

For some reason the series ran for several months with the opening titles playing just the accompaniment to the song, leaving out the melody completely! Someone finally thought better of that and vocals by 'The New Generation' were overlaid starting about halfway thru season one and all of season two. But after the network run the instrumental-only version returned on all episodes. There were other problems too with the DVD releases, where most episodes had the wrong opening titles attached to them. But that's another story. Here we present both versions of the opening, combined with each other and the end credits for a seamless listening experience.
