Calleija Jewellers proudly supports Queensland Ballet with the gift of Hope Soaring.

When Queensland Ballet’s Artistic Director, Li Cunxin AO was a young boy, he cherished time with his father, flying kites and letting his imagination soar.

To commemorate this tradition, Calleija are proud to create Hope Soaring, a versatile convertible neckpiece and brooch designed to capture the essence of a kite's flight. For those who have read Li’s book “Mao’s Last Dancer” you will know that Hope played a huge role in his life and each bow on the tail of the kite holds a special engraved wish.
Adorned with sixty rare Australian Argyle Pink Diamonds™, Hope Soaring pays tribute to Queensland Ballet’s sixty dancers and preserves a piece of Australian history, given the Argyle Mine’s closure in November 2020.

Hope Soaring is being auctioned to raise vital funds for the Queensland Ballet QB Forever endowment fund. QB Forever will allow Queensland Ballet to continue their beautiful work for generations and preserve the legacy of Li Cunxin AO.
