EPISODE 26: A Tactical Trojan Tussle for Two features a full tutorial & detailed review of HECTOR AND ACHILLES. This unknown game from 2003 was designed by 3 great game designers: Leo Colovini, Marco Maggi, and Francesco Nepitello. It also has some classic artwork by (once again) Franz Vohwinkel. Although Hector & Achilles is a very simple card game for 2 players, there is some complexity to the decisions & strategies. Also, the rulebook is very poorly written, and there is not much video content about this game. Therefore, I wanted to make this comprehensive video featuring all the game rules, a detailed review, and a few sample turns with my wife where we discuss our thought processes while taking our turns. The game is much easier to learn when you see it played. We really enjoy this game for a fast but thinky 2-player card game. On the surface, it doesn't seem like much, but the game is rife with subtleties. It provides simple but tough decisions throughout, and I believe this is a game definitely worth featuring on this channel!
