In this video I show you how to build an Arduino on a breadboard using the ATMEGA328P microcontroller! I also show you how to program the chip in the Arduino IDE using a cheap USB-serial converter board I got from eBay. This may be useful for some experiments and projects I have coming up in future videos!

If you can't upload a sketch to your ATMEGA328P, try the following:
Ensure your ATMEGA is installed with the Uno bootloader
Ensure you have installed the correct driver for your programmer board (see below)
You may have to swap round the TX/RX wires on your microcontroller
You may need to set the board as a different COM device ID in Device Manager
Ensure your USB cable has working data lines and is not damaged or too long
