Deepa Venkat was born on 11 June 1975 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to a Tamil family. She migrated to Tamil Nadu from Chennai when she was a child. This was followed by voice acting for several children's series. She voiced actress Devayani for the 2000 film Appu. Following this, she has given voice to many leading actresses like Sneha, Simran, Nayanthara, Sangeeta, Tansika, Anusukka Chetty, Jyotika, Kajal Agarwal. Deepa Venkat won the Best Voice Actress award at the Norwegian Tamil Film Festival in 2011 for her voice acting for Richa Gangopadhyay in the film Mayakam Enna.

Until 2010, Deepa Venkat was busy with something called films or serials. He has acted in almost 80 serials. As Devayani's friend, in the Kolas serial, Deepa Venkat's character was stressed. Deepa Venkat is the recipient of the Kalaimamani Award on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu.In 2010, she married Rajagopal, an IT worker, and left the film and serial industry after getting married. He then worked as a radio jockey for 10 years in private radio and is now away from it.
