Child marriage in Africa

Every minute, 28 girls around the world under the age of 18 are forced to marry. Although it's sadly all-too prevalent all over the world, African girls are particularly affected. Poverty, natural disasters, low literacy rates and even simply a failure to implement laws all contribute to the troubling figures. We take a closer look.
