WC Trials22: Vinesh Phogat Qualifies for World Championships

Vinesh Phogat defeated Antim Panghal, the World U-20 Championships gold medallist, in the women’s trials to get selected for the World Wrestling Championships, starting in Belgrade, Serbia, on September 10. Worlds bronze medallist and three-time Commonwealth Games champion Vinesh – who faced a tough challenge from Antim in the CWG trials in May – beat the youngster 7-0 in Lucknow to take the 53kg slot.
