Nestled in the idyllic countryside of Thuringia, Paulinzella is best known for the stunning ruins of its Romanesque monastery church. Founded by Benedictines in the 12th century, the monastery is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture in Germany.

But this isn’t just about history – it’s about holiday magic! Their mission? Sip mulled wine at the monastery’s Christmas market, enjoy another round of mulled wine in the ICE train's onboard bistro, and top it all off with a carousel ride in Leipzig – which, according to Tom, is the true center of the universe.
