Bored of eating the same regular dishes? Change up your usual lunchtime dishes with this monsoon special dish Taikila sanna khotto/ muddo. Taikilo means Casia Tora in konkani and sanna muddo/ sanna khotto means spicy rice based steamed dumplings. These dumplings are wrapped and steamed in banana leaves. The distinct aroma and flavors of Tora leaves, hing and drops of coconut oil makes it simply magical.

Ingredients
1. Tora leaves - 2 cups
2. Grated Coconut - 1 cup
3. Soaked raw rice - 1 cup
4. Red chillies (ramnad + byadgi) - 12-15 (spicy) & 2-3 (color)
5. Hing - big chana size
6. Tamarind/ kudam Puli/ gooseberry - small lemon sized
7. Oil - for serving
8. Salt - as per taste

Note -
- Soak white raw rice for 2-3 hours
- Wilt banana leaf by running it over a medium fire to make the leaf soft (this step makes it easy to fold the leaf without tearing).
