This year's Outstanding Young Alumni Award recipient is La'Shardae Scott. A two-time graduate of Eastern Michigan University, she earned her Bachelors in Communication, Social Work, and Family Sociology in 2018, and her Masters in Social Work in 2022. La'Shardae is the founder and CEO of The Scott Center for Observation, Transition, and Treatment in Toledo, Ohio. As a mother of two Sickle Cell warriors, she’s turned her personal journey into a powerful advocacy mission for families impacted by Sickle Cell disease.
