The Carolina Panthers went into the 2024 NFL Draft without a first-round pick but at the last minute found their way into the round with a trade.

Carolina moved up one spot to get the 32nd pick of the first round in a trade with the Buffalo Bills. With that pick, the Panthers selected wide receiver Xavier Legette out of South Carolina.

The Panthers were set to have the first pick of the second round on Friday until the trade. Carolina sent that pick and a fifth-round pick in this year's draft to the Bills in exchange for the 32nd pick and a sixth-round pick in this year's draft.
