Australian Army are you being lied to about the real standard required or is it your fault?
This is a question I keep coming back to as we look at our famous and respected best small army in the world which has way to many officers and has also gotten rid of the fitness gates to exit Kapooka the home of the Australian soldier.
Surely to be a qualified an all CORP's Australian soldier you must be able to meet the minimum standard of serving within the organisation before graduation to your specialist CORP and if the answer is no then who is letting down the gaining CORP's the Physical Training Instructors, the leadership or the Human resource department or a combination of all who seem to be silent on the classic passing the buck tactic that never used to be this way until female quota and politics crept into the mix.
We are holding back the true standard of service all though the answers can be easily found if searched for but shouldn't the standard be tested at army standard not culminate at trainee standard it just doesn't make sense unless it is deliberate.
The Pre-enlistment Fitness Assessment and the Basic Fitness Assessment must be gates prior to graduation what says you?
