FAQ: MY 19 Digital Key Issues

Join Chris as he explains common misunderstandings with the now ‘Digital Key Classic’ system in first year vehicles operating ID7.

These 2019 model year vehicles are only compatible with the nfc digital key card for use of the BMW Digital Key feature. These vehicles will not work with any smartphone or smartwatch unlike newer models which also offer BMW Digital Key. Consult your local BMW Genius for further details.
