Despite Texas's recent plunge into political and social polarization, 19-year-old Mexican-American activist Olivia Julianna continues to love her home state because no matter what challenges Texans face, they always fight for each other. Olivia Julianna’s advocacy work is heavily focused on abortion rights, reproductive health, Texas politics, education reform, immigration rights, socio-economic justice, and disability awareness. After Congressman Matt Gaetz made disparaging remarks towards her online, Olivia utilized her newfound social media presence to raise $2.2 million for abortion access.
