In this tutorial, let us learn How to Increase budgeted units and remaining units in Primavera P6.

In Oracle Primavera P6 Global Change tool enables to modify some significant features of the activities, Activity resource assignments and project expenses.

This is the sample project loaded with resources that we are considering in this tutorial, which has got the budgeted labor units and remaining units as 7500 units.

Now if we want to increase this to 15000 units, It would be taking much time to do it activity by activity. So here we will be using the global logic tool to save time.

Step 1: Go to tools, select the Global Change tool.

Step 2: This will display the Global Change window like this.

Step 3: Click the New button and under Select Subject Area, select “Activity Resource Assignments”. Name the Global Change as “Resource rampup”

Step 4: Under If section, give the condition as where Resource ID Name is not equal to blank. (this is to consider all resources), Now, click on the “Then" section and click “Add” and Set the parameter to budgeted units and select the operator to multiply and give the value as 2.

Step 5: Click change button, you will see the preview of changes, if you are ok with these changes, click on commit changes button.

Step 6: And close thie global logic window now.

you can finally see that the budgeted units and remaining units have been changed to 15000 units exactly double the previous count of 7500 units, as we have multiplied the existing units by 2.
