The last day of (the original) LBC Radio

Some clips from the last day of the original LBC radio. They lost their license in 1993 and went off air officially at the beginning of October 1994. In that year however the new station bought out LBC so the handover was fairly amicable.

These are various bits I recorded from both their stations - LBC Newstalk 97.3 and London Talkback Radio on the last day (the Robbie Vincent clip is from the week before) containing promos for the new stations, and bits from the last programmes by some of the outgoing presenters: Mike Dickin, Mike Allen, Peter Deeley and Douglas Cameron

The new stations weren't a great success, at least on 1152 the station gradually turned back into the old station and in 1996 the LBC name returned
