Ingredients
For the Meat Mixture:
1 kg (2.2 lb) ground beef

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

½ cup bread crumbs

2 whole eggs

1 chopped onion

For the Sauce:
200 g (7 oz) tomato sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

Pinch of salt

Pinch of black pepper

1 tsp oregano

For the Mashed Potatoes:
450 g (1 lb) cooked potatoes

1 tbsp butter

Chopped parsley (to taste)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

For Assembly:
Cubes of butter (one for each meatball)

Mozzarella cheese (enough to cover the dish)

Extra parsley for garnish

Instructions
1. Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, bread crumbs, eggs, and chopped onion until evenly combined.

Form the mixture into medium-sized balls, firm and uniform in shape.

2. Prepare the Sauce
In another bowl, combine tomato sauce, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and oregano.

Mix well and set aside.

3. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
Mash the warm cooked potatoes until smooth.

Stir in butter, parsley, salt, and black pepper until creamy and well combined.

4. Assemble the Dish
Spread the mashed potatoes evenly across the bottom of a baking dish.

Pour the sauce on top, spreading it evenly.

Place the meatballs over the sauce.

Using your finger, press a small hole in the center of each meatball and insert a cube of butter.

5. Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and top with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of parsley.

Return to the oven just until the cheese melts and turns golden brown.

Serving
Serve hot as a main dish. The creamy potatoes, juicy meatballs, and cheesy topping make it a complete comfort meal!
