Cape Town City Hall is a landmark Edwardian building situated on the Grand Parade in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa. Completed in 1905, it was designed by architects Henry Austin Reid and Frederick George Green. The structure showcases Italian Renaissance architectural style and is constructed from honey-coloured oolitic limestone imported from Bath, England.

On February 11, 1990, just hours after his release from prison, Nelson Mandela delivered his first public address from the City Hall's balcony, marking a pivotal moment in South Africa's journey toward democracy.

In 2018, a nearly life-size bronze statue of Mandela was unveiled on the same balcony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth.

The City Hall's Grand Hall serves as the main venue for the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra's symphony concerts. The hall houses an impressive 3,165-pipe organ, built by Norman and Beard of London and Norwich.

The venue hosts various cultural events, including art exhibitions, concerts, and the annual Festive Lights Switch-On, a free event featuring local performers and a projection mapping display on the building's facade.

Cape Town City Hall is located on Darling Street, adjacent to the Castle of Good Hope and opposite the Cape Town railway station. Its central location makes it easily accessible to visitors exploring the city's historical sites.​
