Zeel Patel, a researcher at Harvard, is highly interested in the nexus between astrophysics and machine learning—with a focus on combining the two to discover and classify new exoplanets in the universe. As a strong proponent of the potential of AI to amplify scientific discovery through accelerated pattern recognition, Zeel hopes to use his oratory skills to bring the excitement of science to general audiences in refreshing ways, and to show them how novel computational technologies will play a pivotal role in exploring the frontier of space. In his spare time, you will find Zeel graciously travelling the world while proudly cheering for the Toronto Raptors! An energetic technological thinker and systems designer, Zeel Patel is an undergraduate at Harvard fascinated of the intersection between neuroscience and computer science, and the applications of human-computer interaction. Zeel is an activist for scientific research and developed a novel diagnostic for heart disease at the age of 16. Outside of his work, Zeel is passionate about traveling the world and exploring new cultures and worldviews.
