Georgia’s Chris Patrick was one of the first Pro Nitrous cars to link up with FuelTech back in 2014 when he added a FT500 to his Pro Mod machine. In those six years both FuelTech and Patrick have come a long way.
The FT600 has superseded the previous engine management system as the top-of-the-line FuelTech system. Patrick currently competes in PDRA Pro Nitrous with a Jerry Bickel Race Cars 1969 Camaro, which features a Pat Musi Racing 959ci powerplant.
The FT600 is the right tool for the big power combination thanks to sequential injection and ignition, O2 closed loop, Data Logger, Delay Box, Traction Control, Boost Controller, PRO-Nitrous Controller, and much more. The ECU box doubles up as an LCD display with TFT touchscreen showing real-time data and allowing the user to make adjustments without a PC connection.
All FT-series ECU systems include data logging capabilities, negating the need for a separate system and integrating the data and engine management functions in the highly acclaimed FTManager software. Patrick also turned to the complete line of FuelTech add-ons like the FTSPARK ignition that offers up to 600mj of energy and a set of WB O2 Nano sensors for accurate air/fuel ratio readings. The FuelTech Switch Panel connects to the FT600 through CAN bus and expands the inputs for extra sensors or other functions.
