Brief summary:

Mărgelatu (Florin Piersic) and Buză de iepure (Rabbit Lip) (Szabolcs Cseh, known as Szobi Ceh) must recover the gold stolen from the boyar Vâlcu (Marin Moraru) by the actress Agatha Slătineanu (Marga Barbu) and the so-called banker Troianoff (Alexandru Repan). Under the anonymity of the Silver Mask, a character does justice and defends the country's gold mines from the concession requested by Troianoff. Everyone thinks it's Mărgelatu, but things are getting more and more confusing.
In the fifth film of the series, "Silver Mask", a new character appears, the banker Troianoff (Alexandru Repan). He considers that the burning political events in Wallachia force him to stop for a while on the lands of our country. But Troianoff arouses the curiosity of Aga (Officer) (Traian Stănescu), who pays Agatha Slătineanu, played by Marga Barbu, to spy on him.
During a lavish party in honor of the banker, a conflict takes place in which two people are shot. The killer seems to be Mărgelatu himself, because the murderer is wearing the outlaw's clothes, a hat identical to the brave man's and a silver mask on his face.
The murderer leaves the ballroom by force, kidnapping the boyar Vardala, the sole owner of some coveted gold mines. While preparing for his retreat, "Mărgelatu" shoots another man. The conflict reaches the ears of Aga, who considers that, for his interests, the incident only went well, because the masked man judged the others on behalf of the "Brotherhood", as the stranger "thundered" in a determined voice during the attack.
But almost no one is willing to believe this, as it is known that Mărgelatu would never interfere in the "Brotherhood" in a personal matter, nor would he kill anyone in the name of society. However, the members of the "Brotherhood" do not rule out the possibility that Mărgelatu may have lost his mind, so Rosetti appeals to his special envoy for such cases, Lieutenant Deivos, played by George Motoi, to clarify the situation.
