In May 2024, the Katsina State Police Command reported a total of 18 major cases, including armed robbery, kidnappings, culpable homicide, and cattle rustling. Of these cases, 12 have been charged to court.

Additionally, eight suspected bandits have been neutralized, 87 kidnapped victims have been rescued, and 150 suspected rustled animals have been recovered.

The Katsina state police command has also successfully arrested the trio of Haladu Isa from Safana local government,Abubakar Ahmed Katşına and Adamu Ba'ude from Niger republic in connection with purchase of arms and ammunition to bandits in katsina forests.

The suspected arms smugglers and gun runners were arrested in kaita local government area of kâtsina state and also found in possession of 1.2 million naira cash.
