AI scaremongers are incorrect to instill fear that AI will result in mass unemployment. The de-industrialization of America already happened, and it didn't take a superhuman AI to do it. Jobs were outsourced, not to robots, but to cheaper countries. The competitive advantage of post-industrial nations is their highly educated workforce and information technology. AI and automation will therefore play a crucial role in bringing domestic manufacturing stateside and re-industrializing the United States.
