Update on Sainik School Incident: SP Pankaj Lamba Confirms Arrests and Suicide Note Found

In a recent press briefing held at the office of Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Pankaj Lamba, an update was provided regarding the tragic incident at Sainik School, where a student was found dead under suspicious circumstances earlier this week.

According to SP Lamba, three individuals, including a junior and senior cadet, have been arrested in connection with the case. The investigation team has also retrieved CCTV footage from the school premises, which clearly shows the movements and activities of the victim prior to the incident. Based on the evidence, police have confirmed that the case is one of suicide and not homicide.

However, the investigation also revealed a disturbing detail — the victim had been ragged and harassed by his seniors on the night before his death. Further, a handwritten note believed to be from the victim was recovered, in which he mentioned that his “seniors tortured me and I don’t know what to do.”

SP Lamba assured that the investigation is being conducted thoroughly and that strict action will be taken against those responsible for any form of harassment or negligence. The case has drawn significant public concern and renewed discussions on student safety and anti-ragging measures within residential schools.
