The Sassanids of Persian hunted wormhole gateways, and the Egyptian-Beetle Empire stood watching along the galaxy’s edge. Then came the Neanderthal fleet, exiles returned as conquerors, wielding a machine, the Cosmic Nullifier, designed to erase the universe itself. As civilizations mysteriously collapse into silence, humanity’s oldest enemies must decide whether to destroy one another, or confront the end of all things.
