Gaming Idjits plays NASCAR Heat 4 on PS4 Pro using a Logitech G29 steering wheel. Here we play through all of the base challenges for NASCAR Heat 4. For the most part these were all done with Hard settings on controls and done with relative ease. There were only a few challenges that required different approaches and some luck. Generally these challenges as usual are stupid and pointless with some unrealistic scenarios occurring for no good reason.

For this challenge I tried to set the transmission to allow a clutch to kill the engine during corners and save fuel, but I'm not convinced this game even uses it correctly. Seems like some issue where the clutch wasn't even being detected or something. So I'm not even confident it helped. I may have gotten it merely on letting off the gas a lot but maintaining momentum.

This challenge is one that proves how rage-inducing these challenges are with no good reason for it. I only got this on pure luck, although I did mess with some settings as shown in the video, I'm not positive how much it even helped for this particular challenge. The AI has tons of drive on the second lap and there's little you can do to hold off both high and low oncoming cars. Everyone I've seen accomplish this did it through some form of wrecking, including myself. I have no tips other than asking them to stop putting stupid challenges into their games.

Again unsure if it even made a difference, but in the pit I told it to do half the fuel since I knew I wouldn't need it all and in prior games it was full fuel that'd hold up the pit stop forever. I also had it put on a ton of tape for more downforce and speed. No idea if this game actually simulated those things properly.

I recommend diving to the inside on the grass in the first corner in order to get through. After that maybe you'll luck out like I did and pass the entire field stacked up on the next lap.

Yet another awful challenge. Let it roll over the first turn hill (so you don't spin out) and get in the gas when you can trying to stay in the gas on that long right heading up the hill into the carousel. You can make it to the inside of Blaney in the beginning of the carousel if you do it right and are smooth, lean on him a little bit letting the car turn down the carousel, and gas it down the hill and come out with a lead which you'll want cause this car will be trash down the esses. At the final hairpin turn make sure you don't run wide as you'll probably need to block in order to stay in front for the final stretch to the finish.
