Velbon Macro Slider Review

Описание к видео Velbon Macro Slider Review

My guess is that this slider was made in the 80's or early 90's. The slider is solidly built, but has some usability issues. The lateral adjustment locking screw is difficult to reach and the rails can get in the way with shorter length macro lenses.

Overall, the slider is better than trying to make fine adjustments with just a tripod. I'm not crazy about the slider, but better options are more expensive. The Manfrotto 454 is a bit more expensive and doesn't do side to side adjustments, but is suitable for focus stacking. As long as you don't plan on constantly hauling the Velbon slider around, it offers a decent value at $50-$60. $80+ is too much.

For stacking macro images, you're best off with a motorized focus stacking rail, like the WeMacro. You can read by review here: https://www.outsidetheshot.com/wemacr...
