On May 18, 2023, a high-speed pursuit unfolded in Arkansas involving a Maserati luxury vehicle.

While patrolling Interstate 530, a state trooper spotted a black Maserati with expired license plates. Initiating a traffic stop, the officer approached the vehicle and detected the smell of marijuana emanating from the interior, along with an open bottle of alcohol. Requesting the driver to step out, the officer discovered a substantial amount of cash in the driver's pockets during a pat-down.

Suddenly, the driver bolted back to the Maserati and accelerated southbound on Interstate 530, prompting the officer to give chase. Despite attempted intervention with a PIT maneuver, the Maserati driver skillfully evaded capture.

Exiting the interstate, the suspect continued fleeing at speeds surpassing 140 MPH, maneuvering through traffic. Ultimately, the pursuing officer lost sight of the Maserati and discontinued the pursuit.
