Xiaolan Town, located in the northwestern part of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China, is a significant industrial and commercial hub in the Pearl River Delta region. With a long history, Xiaolan is renowned for its chrysanthemums, which once blanketed the area, earning it the moniker "Chrysanthemum City" from Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Its history dates back to the Southern Song Dynasty, when, as legend has it, its founding residents migrated south to escape war. Finding the land covered in blooming chrysanthemums and blessed with a pleasant environment, they established a settlement. To commemorate their ancestors, a grand chrysanthemum festival is held every sixty years. In July 2021, the former Xiaolan Town merged with Dongsheng Town to form a new, larger Xiaolan Town, expanding its administrative area and economic scale. Economically, Xiaolan is a prominent industrial powerhouse in China, holding numerous national titles such as "China Hardware Products Base," "China Electronic and Audio Industry Base," "China's Famous Underwear Town," and "China Smart Lock Industry Base." Its main industries include hardware, electronics, chemical adhesives, apparel and footwear, and printing and packaging, forming a complete industrial chain. Culturally, in addition to the historic Chrysanthemum Fair, Xiaolan boasts rich folk arts, including Xiaolan embroidery, dragon dances, and lion dances. In terms of cuisine, Xiaolan is famous for incorporating chrysanthemums into its dishes, creating specialties like fried chrysanthemum fish balls and chrysanthemum-infused meat. The Crispy Grass Carp from the former Dongsheng Town has also become a major culinary attraction of the new Xiaolan. The town benefits from convenient transportation and well-developed infrastructure, with the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway and major expressways running through it, providing strong support for its economic and social development.

Zhongshan Huizan Old Bakery is a renowned century-old traditional Chinese pastry shop located in the Shiqi District of Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, highly esteemed for its handmade traditional pastries.
