In this video I build a 12-foot tall, 6x6 elevated platform for a DIY box blind. This is my first time building a platform like this, and while I made a few mistakes, I’m sharing the full process so you don’t have to make the same ones.
This platform will be the base for my deer hunting box blind, and I’ll be posting another video soon showing the framing and full build of the box itself.

4 × 4x4 12ft Pressure Treated
2 × 2x6 12ft Pressure Treated
2 × 4x8 ¾” Plywood Pressure Treated
2 × 2x4 12ft Pressure Treated
6 × 2x4 (Bracing)
Wood screws
5/16 Lag bolts
Nails
