In a shocking development from Peshawar, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed has allegedly been abducted near the Civil Officers’ Mess, a high-security area surrounded by key government offices.
According to Advocate Hira Babar, who filed the FIR at Peshawar’s East Police Station, a green Vigo and a white car intercepted their vehicle at around 10:40 PM, and five unidentified men forcibly took Sanam Javed away towards the Red Zone. The case has been registered under Section 365 (Kidnapping) of the Pakistan Penal Code on the directions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who has ordered a transparent investigation.
However, the incident raises serious questions — how could such an act occur under PTI’s own provincial government in one of the most secure zones of Peshawar?
